Zippy the Strong Brain
Zippy is a fun, engaging and educational journal for children 4-8 years, drawing on principles of positive psychology, neuroplasticity, growth mindset, resilience, creativity and play. The learnings and activities aim to support children towards positivity, mindfulness, creativity, self regulation and flourishing. The journal aims also to support the empowerment of young children to take charge of their thinking and feelings.
Zippy the Strong Brain Journal encompasses a variety of contemporary psychological, educational, neuroscience, play and creativity principles. These theories overlap and intersect in the content of the Journal. Zippy helps children explore and learn through an imagination, play, activity, art, craft and creative expression approach.
Zippy is a brain, a character who teaches beginning ideas, related to many of the well-researched, brain-based learning concepts and techniques. The A-Z format is not sequenced, but flexible. Children can start their learning journey at any letter. The journal is designed to be explored with the support of an adult.
