Sometimes, unexpected and magical adventures do really happen.

Honey the Sea Dog

Honey the Sea Dog is based on the story of a Golden Retriever dog and her exciting adventures at an Adelaide beach with a pod of playful dolphins. It is an amazing and exciting story of inter-species communication. I heard this story on a local Adelaide radio station around 2008. The dog disappears with the dolphins and the adventure unfolds.

Since the time that I first heard the story, I have not seen nor heard of her story since.
Honey the Sea Dog is the name I have given her, and this is the story of some of the exciting adventures she may well have experienced.

Join Honey the Sea Dog

On her exciting beach adventure!

You’ll be amazed at the underwater tricks she learns, the creatures she meets and the fun she has.
Honey’s new dolphin friend Daphne and her family, invite her to explore their underwater world. They find a funny way to help her back to her family calling anxiously on the beach. The dolphins are so helpful to Honey, even though she is so very different to them.

It’s wonderful when different creatures play with each other.
This is called inter-species communication.

For parents, teachers and educators

The story of Honey the Sea Dog is an allegory for children about enjoying life in the moment. It is about inter-species communication, a topic of curiosity to us human beings, as part of the animal kingdom.

The themes include making new friends with those who may be different to you, experiencing the world from another’s perspective and learning new skills. Honey is also about resilience and relying on your friends when you need support. It is about living life with a sense of adventure, fun and zest. There is also an assurance about when things are looking bad and distressing, that there is quite often a happy ending.
